Big News: Our Work Ranked Among the Top 50 Nationwide

We’re honored (and thrilled!) to share that Laurel Alexander Interiors was recently recognized in Interior Design Society’s Designer of the Year Awards in the Vacation Rental Design category, and our submission was selected as one of the Top 50 entries nationwide.

This recognition is a meaningful milestone for us, especially in a category that reflects one of our favorite areas of design: creating thoughtful, high-performing vacation rental spaces.

Our submission featured a full-service oceanfront rental on Florida’s Gulf Coast—and it’s already doing exactly what it was designed to do.

This recognition means the world because creating thoughtful, performance-driven vacation rental spaces has become one of our favorite parts of the job. 

And our submission project? A full-service oceanfront rental on Florida’s Gulf Coast that’s already delivering incredible results.

From day one, this design had clear goals:

• Sleep 12–14 guests comfortably

• Reflect the surrounding ocean and natural views in the design—without leaning too far into clichés

• Deliver a space that would photograph well, feel effortless for guests, and work hard behind the scenes for the property owner and management team

Every room was designed with durability, comfort, and smart storage in mind, down to the smallest details. 

Our Vacation Rental Design Services are structured to meet a variety of investment levels, which allowed the client to customize and blend from our "Better" and "Best" packages, keeping their investment level in alignment with their overall budget.

That meant this home was fully guest-ready from the day it hit the rental market, and yes, bookings started immediately.

Since its completion, this project has also been featured in an industry training module by the amazing Audra Slinkey, a nationally recognized interior design trainer.
